Summary As a Prompt Engineer at Mendonca & Suarez, LLC, you will help operationalize high-quality AI assistance across advisory delivery, audit readiness, and internal knowledge workflows. You will design and evaluate prompt strategies, build reusable prompt patterns, implement guardrails, and partner with domain experts to deliver consistent, compliant, client-ready outputs. Requirements - •3+ years in software engineering, applied AI/ML, automation, or a comparable technical role - •Practical experience with LLM prompting patterns (structured outputs, tool-use prompting, few-shot prompting, prompt chaining) - •Experience creating evaluation approaches (rubrics, test sets, regression checks) to measure quality and reduce drift - •Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts (tax, audit, advisory) and translate requirements into reliable AI workflows - •Strong programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript for building internal tools, scripts, or workflow automation - •Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) concepts (retrieval strategies, chunking, embeddings) and output governance - •Experience implementing safety and compliance guardrails (sensitive data handling, prompt injection awareness, red-teaming basics) - •Excellent documentation skills (prompt catalogs, usage guidelines, versioning, change logs) Responsibilities - •Design, test, and iterate prompts and workflows that support advisory deliverables and internal operations - •Build and maintain a versioned prompt library with templates, examples, and guidance for consistent usage - •Implement quality controls: evaluation sets, scoring rubrics, regression testing, and output monitoring - •Partner with stakeholders to define acceptance criteria (accuracy, ton
